I had my first ever clay workshop with Hayley a couple of months ago. She is the best instructor when it comes to anything creative. She is so much fun!! I tried making clay earrings for the first time and made a bunch right away that made perfect gifts for my friends and family.
Hayley gets the most happiness from empowering others to do what she’s doing. This is what I enjoyed most about her classes; her desire to help every person find what she’s found and do what she’s doing! She was with me at every stage in the crafting, supporting me and cheering me on! She showed me how easy it was and shared her own story with me of how making clay earrings broke off perfectionism for her, which is something I struggled with too, and so her story helped me and now I can make Clay Earrings without perfectionism! I’m now making clay earrings and getting better and better at it, and what has stuck with me most is not the “know how” of how to make the earrings (although I do remember that), but the lessons Hayley taught me in it, like keep experimenting, have fun, and don’t let perfectionism get in the way and you’ll get better and better.
