Being Charged By Hope | My Daily Routine

I am deeply in love with my life because of my daily routine.

This daily routine is simple and I love it.

The reason I love my routine is because I didn't come up with it on my own.

I was really struggling and needed help. I needed hope.

It's not news to anyone who knows me really well, but I have been goal oriented for most of my adult life. More recently, I have perfected the way I reach my goals. By "perfected" I mean that I'm finally starting to see my vision come to life and this wouldn't be possible without help, hope and faith.

This may sound corny, but my body feels tingly all over when I sit and think about my dreams coming true! The vision I have for my life is bigger than anything I could ever do on my own. In fact, these visions are SO BIG that some days I can get really down on myself.

Without this routine I would lack hope.

Honestly, I constantly see women in their 30s and 40s on Instagram who are so successful and think, "Why do I feel like a 42 year old stuck in a 22 year olds body?!" I am a visionary, so it's not surprising that I see myself in the future. However, most people call this the "comparison game" and I couldn't agree more. I don't want to consistently lose a game I didn't sign up for.

For this reason, I need to fill myself with a lot of hope. Actually – I need to drench myself with a big bucket of hope before I start my day. This is what I call being "Hope Charged!"

My mornings give me the momentum I need to stay on track.

When I wake up in the morning I look forward to boiling water for my french press, making coffee and sitting under a blanket on the couch. This is the space where I am free to think. I am free to listen. I am free to ask. I have the space I need before I start my day and run the race.

***And repeat***

Miracles come from listening and asking.

I had to think about the following question for a long time: How likely am I to receive something I want if I never ask for it?

Here's a great example:

One day in 2016 I asked (actually... I told God I was ready!) for a boyfriend. I had terrible relationships in the past that filled me with hurt and shame. I was ready for my future. I was ready to be filled with hope. One week later, Scott (my husband!), showed up at my local church. I asked and I received!

This is why my day ALWAYS starts with a blank slate.

Maybe this is random, but one of my favourite things – in the whole wide world! – is blank paper. Yes... beautiful blank paper!

Before I perfected my morning routine I felt stuck. There was a force stopping me from pursing the desires in my heart.

Blank paper helps my imagination run wild.

What I found out is... the force stopping me goes away when I write down my gratitudes, dreams and goals. As I write on the blank paper the walls of perfection, comparison and fear fall away. Writing will tear down the walls. Shoutout to my sister's song! 😉

Here is a structured look at my daily routine:

– 6:00am –

[ ✓ ] Make coffee, sit, read my Bible, LISTEN and ASK for the desires of my heart.

– 7:30am –

[ ✓ ] Clean up and get ready for the day. My house needs to a clean slate too!

– 8:00am –

[ ✓ ] Ministry Time! Also known as... RUNING THE RACE. This includes working on Hope Charged and all other clients I serve throughout the week.

– 4:00pm onwards–

[ ✓ ] Self care, exercise and preparing for the next day. REST because you need it. This is also the time where I spend time with friends and family or go to events that are life-giving to me.

I hope this inspires you to create your own Hope Charged routine.

Have an amazing day, friend!

Be charged by hope.
